Milepost 7 / 85 is near Barrow-upon-Trent

This is a replacement milepost. It was unveiled by Ted Moult (a local farmer and TV personality), who is to the right of the post in this photo (© Waterway Images) of the unveiling on Sunday 30th August 1981. Unfortunately the plaque went missing at some time before 2001. Amazingly, it was found in 2017, and we hope to eventually replace it underneath the post.
