Thursday 16th January – Our first work-party of 2025 was cancelled (weather too cold and damp for painting).
Thursday 20th February – Our second work-party of 2025 was cancelled (weather forecast of rain).
Thursday 20th March – At last, good weather! Finally the 6 of us finished off the last few jobs on Locks 64. Also, great progress was made on Locks 63 with all the woodwork painted and most of the metal too. 3 of us returned for a follow-up on Friday and continued work on Locks 63 but, despite our best efforts, we were unable to complete so there is a little left to do next visit.

Thursday 17th April – We had a very productive day at Locks 63 and 62. The weather was excellent and there were 10 of us in attendance. 4 of us were able to put the finishing touches to Lock 63 which now looks really neat (as I think the photos below testify) and paint the metal mooring bollards between Locks 63 and 62. We then joined the rest of the team who had already made great progress in prepping and painting Lock 62 and the extensive metal fence surrounding the adjoining sluice.
