Thursday 15th January – Our first work-party of 2026 was cancelled (weather too cold and damp for painting).

Thursday 19th February – Our second work-party of 2026 was also cancelled (weather too cold and damp for painting).

Thursday 26th March – Thanks to great weather conditions and our enthusiastic (as ever) volunteers we finally made great progress at lock 41 on our first visit since October.  We concentrated our efforts on the towpath-side lock which had been inaccessible on our previous visits due to ongoing paddle repairs. We also made great strides in prepping and painting the extensive  metal fencing by the offside lock as well as starting work on the lockkeepers building plus some vegetation tidying.
